About
  • About Us
    Professional Protest Song Band
  • After emceeing the Women's March in San Diego in January 2017, Melanie Peters co-founded The Resizters with long time friends and former band mates from other projects, in response to the need for quality, inspiring live music at the protests, marches, rallies and community events seen everywhere.  Under Mel's leadership, the band has performed & recorded inspirational protest songs with passion and reflection, reminding us where we have been, and we are going.
  • The goal of The Resizters continues to use our musical talents and support our community by representing protest music written throughout the decades, and motivating people to do the right thing, take an active stand, and #Resizt hate, injustice, ignorance, and greed.
  • The Resizters have supported many fantastic organizations such as: AFL-CIO, Planned Parenthood, San Diego NOW, San Diego Democratic Clubs, Public Power San Diego, California Teacher's Association, United Healthcare Workers UHW union, San Diego Pride / SheFest, The California Democratic Convention in San Diego, ACLU, March for Science, various local democratic/progressive candidates, as well as headlined The San Diego Women's March for 3 years.
